family fun {sun}day

When I woke up sneezing with a stuffy nose this morning, my first thought was, "Sh*t, I'm sick again!".  I reluctantly cancelled a session with my bloggy friends and decided to spend the day with my family.  Lil J and Baby Z have both been under the weather with a fever and runny nose, respectively, and Z has been more cranky than usual.  Despite all of this, my husband and I decided we needed to get out of the house and enjoy what little sunshine we currently had before the rain rushes in later this week.

We ended up at a Middle Eastern/Indian restaurant in the heart of Main Street in Vancouver.  I had gone to their West Broadway location with a friend a few weeks ago and loved the food, decor and everything else!

The kids quickly piled up on Daddy's lap:

Given that hubby and I were both hungry, we decided to eat from the tasting menu which was basically an all-you-can-eat feast!  Lil J loved the naan and Baby Z was definitely feeling everything on my plate.  I just couldn't help but think how well behaved our children were despite the fact that they weren't feeling 100%.

After the two of us could barely move because we were so stuffed, we decided to drive down to the Olympic Village and stroll along the seawall:

We then headed back to the car because Daddy thought it was going to start pouring rain {it didn't!} and we ended up at my brother-in-law's for a quick visit.  The kids were able to play with their two adorable cousins and the brothers traded funny stories about their "wild" past.  Ah, the good ol' days!

This day totally puts a smile on my face and sitting here writing about it makes me realize that we need more days like this one.  Here's to hoping you had an equally amazing Sunday!
