Fighting Eczema with Polysporin Eczema Essentials #EczemaAndMe

We thought we avoided it and then it came - that pesky skin rash otherwise known as eczema.  It started to flare up on the back of Lil J's hands about two years ago, right around the time he was introduced to chocolate at daycare.  Back then, I was extremely strict at letting Lil J have any type of candy or sweets - meaning he didn't get an ounce from me or hubby.  After a couple months of occasional flare ups, hubby began to wonder if Lil J was allergic to chocolate so we decided to cut it out completely from Lil J's diet and it worked!  The eczema slowly subsided and Lil J's hands were showing signs of healing.  Perfect, we thought.  But then it would come back.  And back again.  Sound familiar?

While we've tried prescription hydrocortisone cream, I wanted to try something less harsh.  In comes Polysporin Eczema Essentials.  Polysporin has put together trio of skin-friendly products to help treat those rough eczema patches in need of moisture and care, including:

  • Daily Moisturizing Cream
  • Daily Body Wash
  • Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream
Before
We tried all three on Lil J for a week, making sure to concentrate the creams on the affected areas.  The result?  Hands that were less irritated and almost fully healed.  I think that if we continue using the Polysporin Eczema Essentials line, Lil J's eczema breakouts can be controlled with flare-ups less likely to happen.

Have you tried Polysporin Eczema Essentials yet?  What did you think of the brand new line of Polysporin creams?
